Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Delete in the PicMe app

Open Settings → Delete Account, confirm twice, and your account deletion will begin. You will be signed out when deletion completes.

When you delete your PicMe account from the app, your account is removed, your profile is anonymized, album access is revoked, invite links are disabled, and your albums and uploaded media are removed from active use in the app. Some records may be retained for security, legal, billing, abuse-prevention, backup, or operational purposes. Media files and backups may be removed from storage systems on a delayed or best-effort basis.

Deleting your PicMe account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your Apple ID subscription settings.

Email request (alternative)

You can also request deletion by emailing support@getpicme.app from the email address linked to your PicMe account.

Please use this subject line: PicMe Data Deletion Request

Include in your message:

  • The email address associated with your PicMe account.
  • Your PicMe username, if you have one.
  • A brief note that you want your account and personal data deleted.

What happens next

We will review reasonable deletion requests and delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account where appropriate, subject to legal obligations and legitimate business needs (for example, fraud prevention or resolving disputes).

Some information may take additional time to remove from backups or service provider systems. We will respond to your request as soon as we reasonably can.

Photos and albums

Albums you own and photos in those albums are removed from active use in PicMe when you delete your account. Photos you uploaded to albums owned by other people are also removed from active use and no longer linked to your account. Album owners control content in albums they create.

Content removed from active use may remain in storage or backups for a period before removal from our systems and service providers. Timing can vary based on technical and legal requirements.

If you need help with content in a specific album, email support@getpicme.app with details about the album and your request.

Third-party sign-in

If you signed in to PicMe with Facebook, Google, or Apple, you can also revoke PicMe's access from your account settings with that provider. Revoking provider access does not by itself delete all data stored in PicMe — use in-app deletion or email us if you want account data removed from our systems.
